Overview

Introduction

The Mask Grants Program provides a way for Web3 communities to leverage their ideas to come true in the new open Web3 era.

One of Mask’s missions is to nurture cutting-edge applications in Web3. Active in this area since 2019, Mask has funded many projects driving advancement and adoption of the decentralized internet; we want to keep playing the role of pushing and realizing a fair internet where regular everyday users control their own identity, privacy, and data.

Mask Network’s major product - Mask Browser Extension - has dedicated itself to protecting data privacy and building the best bridge between Web2 and Web3.

We have introduced an ecosystem of 30+ popular Web3 dApps that work seamlessly on top of existing Web2 sites such as Twitter and Facebook. Our vision is to protect everyone’s self-sovereign identity and freedom of self-interpretation.

Purpose

Mask Network Grants Program: the program supports teams and projects through funding by enriching their value in Web3 and Mask's Ecosystem. With a history of product-building, a solid reputation, and broad connections, Mask network wants to share its resources and facilitate collaboration to accelerate the ecosystem's growth.

Find the grant type that fits you

Over the past two years, Mask Network has significantly scaled up its team and collective impact. We have branched out a few types of grants: Eco Grants, Public-good, and Collaboration Grants. If you are interested in applying, please make sure to find a suitable Grants type.

  1. Mask Eco Grants

Are you working on early-stage projects (mainly before VC funding) on Web3 social? If yes, you should probably apply for the Mask Eco Grant. Not only can you utilize Mask or NextID SDK to develop next-generation social applications, but you can also utilize API/SDKs provided by our ecosystem projects to expand the web3 territories. You can see many different types of Next-Gen social network applications inside the Mask ecosystem in the graph shown below.

Mask Eco Grants in collaboration with Hackathon during ETHShanghai

We hosted ETH Shanghai hackathon in May as part of the kickoff for the grant program and have already gathered a lot of support. The mask grant program allocated $100k equivalent of $MASK as part of the crowd-funded prize pool.
